Phishing

Phishing is an attempt by an illegitimate intruder to gain valuable information about you.  They will do this by misrepresenting themselves as certain companies and try to get you to respond and give them information. These e-mails are not legitimate and it is very important that you do not respond to the e-mail. The scam is designed to trick the recipient into clicking a link in the fraudulent email for the purpose of acquiring sensitive data, such as passwords or financial information. Since Clinton Savings Bank and Digital Insight will never request a confirmation of personal information in an email, if you receive one doing so, please contact internetbanking@clintonsavings.com immediately.

While the addresses differ, the body of the email remains relatively consistent (“We inform you that your account is about to expire. It is strongly recommended to update it immediately. Update form is located here. However, failure to confirm your records may result in account suspension.”)
