Health Benefits

Medical Insurance
The Bank offers an HMO medical plan from Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Massachusetts. The Bank subsidizes plan premium costs.
 

Prescriptions
Our HMO health care plan provides prescription drug coverage. The plan covers a selection of both brand name and generic drugs. In most instances, employees can fill prescriptions using local and national pharmacies and/or mail order pharmacy processing services.


Vision Plan
The Vision plan “VSP” offers annual eye exams, discounts on the purchase of lenses, frames, and contacts through an arrangement with Vision centers.


Dental Insurance
Dental insurance coverage is offered through a traditional comprehensive plan which includes orthodontia services for eligible family members up to $2,000.  Insurance coverage for dental services are based on reasonable and customary charges.


Flexible Benefits Plan – Section 125 Plan

This plan allows an employee to have a pre-tax payroll deduction for his/her portion of the bi-weekly health and dental insurance premiums.


Flexible Spending Account – Health Care
The Health Care Reimbursement Account is a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) providing a pre-tax method of paying for certain expenses that are not reimbursed under health plans, such as deductibles and co-payments. The maximum amount allowed in this account is $2,500 per calendar year. The account is administered in accordance with IRS guidelines.


Flexible Spending Account - Dependent Care
The Dependent Care Reimbursement Account is a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) providing reimbursement to participating employees for non-medical day care expenses for children ages 12 and under, and disabled or elderly dependents. The maximum amount allowed in this account is $5,000 per calendar year. The account is administered in accordance with IRS guidelines.


Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
Employees of the Bank and their dependents are eligible to receive counseling services, free of charge, to assist in dealing with a myriad of issues, on or off the job. The EAP provides counselors trained in family therapy, substance abuse, financial counseling, elder care issues, stress management, and a variety of other concerns.


 Financial Benefits


401(k) Savings Plan
Employees may make pre-tax contributions to the 401(k) Savings Plan subject to certain IRS limits. The Bank offers a generous contribution to eligible employees. The plan includes a variety of investment options offered by the Savings Bank Employee Retirement Association (SBERA). Employees are eligible to participate in the plan on the ninety first day following the employment date.


Life Insurance and Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance
Eligible employees are provided with a base policy amount equal to three times annual base salary (not including overtime pay, incentive awards, and special compensation) paid in full by the Bank. The Bank pays plan premium costs.


Long Term Disability Insurance Plan
Eligible employees are enrolled in the Long Term Disability (LTD) plan on the first day following one (1) year anniversary of the employment date. The Bank pays plan premium costs.


Short Term Disability
Eligible employees are paid a short term disability pay, based on years of service, for absences due to illness, non-occupational injury, or other authorized health care reasons, up to a maximum of 11 weeks.


Travel Accident Insurance
The program pays an insurance benefit in the case of accidental death or dismemberment while traveling on Bank business.


Bank-wide Incentive Compensation Program
The Bank-wide Incentive Compensation Program allows eligible employees to share in the Bank's financial success. This program provides incentive compensation awards if the Bank meets certain specified performance targets each year.


Paid Time Off (PTO)
Eligible Bank employees are provided a number of PTO days each year to be used for vacation, sick or personal time. Allowance is based on years of service and position at the Bank.


Learning Benefits


Educational Assistance
Full-time employees may be eligible for educational assistance for graduate or undergraduate courses related to the employee's job or career field and taken at an accredited college or university. Certain approvals are required.


External Training Programs
External training is available to employees with specific needs. Graduate schools of banking and finance, leadership development programs, and professional conferences are available through various professional organizations.


Banking Schools
The New England College of Finance and the American Bankers Association offers banking-related courses on a quarterly basis. The Bank supports these programs and pays fees associated with participation in NECF and ABA courses for eligible employees.

Clinton Savings Bank is committed to corporate community involvement. The Bank’s community involvement program focuses on activities that support and strengthen the communities it serves. The Community Involvement program is responsible for promoting workplace volunteerism and encouraging all employees to become involved in their communities.
